Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of CardCipher (the “Service”). By creating an account, signing in, or using the Service in any way, you agree to these Terms.

1) Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your region) and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
2) Privacy
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use information.
3) License & User Content
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your business purposes.
You retain ownership of the content you submit (e.g., inventory, sales, transactions, PDFs). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate, improve, and provide the Service to you and your authorized users. You represent that you have all rights necessary to upload and process the content you submit, including any personal information of third parties contained in your uploads.
4) Acceptable Use
- Do not misuse the Service, disrupt others’ use, or attempt to access data without authorization.
- Do not upload unlawful content or content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Do not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network without written authorization.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer or copy parts of the Service except where permitted by law.
5) Uploads & Parsing
The Service may include tools that parse documents (e.g., packing slips) you upload. Parsing is provided on an “as-is” basis and may contain errors; you are responsible for verifying results before acting on them. You must ensure you have a lawful basis to process any personal data included in your uploads (e.g., buyer names or addresses). We process such data only to provide the Service to your account. See the Privacy Policy for details.
6) Payments via Stripe
We use Stripe to process payments. By submitting a payment method, you authorize CardCipher and Stripe to charge that method for subscription fees, taxes, and any other amounts you authorize. We do not store full card numbers or CVV; Stripe stores and processes that data on our behalf. Your use of payments is also subject to Stripe’s policies. If a charge fails, we may retry and may suspend access until payment is successful.
7) Subscriptions, Billing & Cancellation
7.1 Auto-Renewal
Paid plans are billed in advance and automatically renew each billing period (e.g., monthly or annually) until you cancel.
7.2 Trials
If a trial is offered, you’ll be charged at the end of the stated trial period unless you cancel before the trial ends. We disclose price, interval, and trial conversion timing before you confirm.
7.3 Cancellation
You can cancel anytime online in-app at Settings → Billing or via /billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period; access continues until then. Deleting your account or removing the app does not cancel a subscription—please cancel through the billing page.
7.4 Plan Changes
Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the next renewal unless we state otherwise. Promotional pricing applies only for the stated term.
7.5 Dunning
If a renewal charge fails, we may attempt to collect using the current or any backup payment method on file and may pause access until payment completes.
8) Refunds & Chargebacks
Unless we state a specific guarantee, all fees are non-refundable to the fullest extent permitted by law. If you believe we made a billing error, contact us within 30 days of the charge. If a payment is disputed or charged back, we may suspend access for the affected account pending resolution.
9) Taxes
Fees are exclusive of taxes, levies, or duties. You are responsible for any applicable taxes, which may be charged based on the billing information you provide.
10) Price Changes
We may change prices or fees with reasonable notice. Changes apply to future billing cycles unless we state otherwise.
11) Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or if required by law. Upon termination, your license ends and your access will cease. We may retain or delete your content in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We recommend exporting your data before cancelling or closing your account.
12) Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
13) Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR BUSINESS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100.
14) Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CardCipher and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way related to your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.
15) Copyright/DMCA
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, contact us with the details of your claim at [email protected]. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
16) Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Ada County, Idaho, for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
17) Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service or for legal reasons. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, if changes are material, provide reasonable notice.
